Parish & Company Recognizes Sprint as the first recipient of its "Outstanding Global Corporate Citizen Award."

PORTLAND, June 2, 1999 - Parish & Company Portfolio Advisors of Portland Oregon today formally recognizes Sprint as the first recipient of its "Outstanding Global Corporate Citizen Award."

This award will be periodically presented to U.S. based companies that demonstrate a consistent record of fostering sound economic development, both here in the U.S. and abroad.  In addition to creating new opportunities and outstanding financial results, it is also noteworthy that Sprint is making a significant contribution toward lowering the telecommunication cost barrier in many countries, particularly in Latin America.

While AT&T, Global Crossing and MCI WorldCom are engaging in multi-billion dollar mergers and utilizing deceptive accounting practices in order to make acquisitions and gain a foothold in new markets, Sprint is enjoying the results of a successful long-term oriented decision making process.  Sprint is of course also recognized as a leader in customer service.

We salute Sprint for good management and its contribution toward a stronger economy and resulting investment environment.  Although Sprint is a key holding in most portfolios managed by Parish & Company, this is not a recommendation to purchase the stock now but rather an attempt to recognize an outstanding company little understood by the general public.
